ANTROPOLOGÍA GENERALIZADA

Este proyecto se propone abordar el debate teórico de la antropología actual que comparte un espacio “pos-constructivista”. La actitud que guía la lectura, crítica y experimentación de ese debate refiere a una “antropología generalizada”, en tanto que tránsito por un espacio liminar. Desde ahí, se procura poner en tensión las subdivisiones disciplinarias de la antropología, las relaciones entre ciencias “sociales” y “naturales”, las separaciones entre arte y ciencia, la cuestión de la alteridad y los vínculos entre la tradición antropológica argentina, metropolitana y del “sur global”. Pensado como espacio formativo de estudiantes de grado y posgrado, el proyecto es un foro en el que se discuten las investigaciones de sus integrantes a la luz de debates teóricos más amplios y de intercambios con biólogos, artistas, filósofos, activistas, etc.

This project approaches the theoretical debates developed within a so-called “post-constructionist” brand of anthropology. Readings, critique and experimentation of /with concepts under discussion are guided by a “generalized anthropology”, thought of as an attitude sensitive to liminarity. From this standpoint, we seek to explore the tensions among subdisciplines of anthropology, the relations between “natural” and “social” sciences, the separations between art and science, the question of alterity and the links among Argentine, metropolitan and “Global South” anthropologies. Devised as a space of learning and apprenticeship for undergraduate and graduate students in anthropology, it fosters a forum for discussing the research projects of its members from the point of view of wider theoretical debates and through personal exchanges with biologists, philosophers, artists, activists, etc.
